Work has begun to remove invasive phragmites from the Allen Salt Marsh and Talcott Wakeman Vineyard Preserves in Westport.
Removing this invasive plant is accomplished with a three-year mowing and spraying regimen that results in increased wildlife diversity and improved views of our beautiful salt marshes and estuaries.
This effort builds upon our successful three-year effort to remove invasive phragmites
from our 3.2-acre Taylortown Salt Marsh preserve in the Saugatuck River estuary in downtown Westport .
Help us to continue this work, increase the wildlife diversity and improve the beautiful views of our salt marshes and estuaries by making a donation today.
